Business finance help for Australian company directors

Has a bank or lender declined your business finance application? A refusal can leave a director unsure what information was missing, which commercial finance pathway may fit the actual business need, or who will take the time to understand the full position.

At Connect Australia, you can speak directly with a real person. We help company directors and business owners organise their initial enquiry, work through forms, explain the commercial purpose, review the business plan or proposal and prepare the information for a possible introduction to a selected commercial finance provider.

We can meet at our St Leonards office, speak by telephone or video, and consider a visit to your business premises by prior arrangement. The objective is simple: understand your business, its journey and what the funding is intended to achieve before an enquiry is presented.

Personal business finance assistance

More than an online form and an automatic lending decision

Directors often need a person who will listen, ask sensible questions and help organise the commercial story behind the numbers. Our role is administrative enquiry support and provider introduction, not consumer-credit or financial advice.

Direct discussion

Speak to a real person

Discuss what happened, why the business needs funding and what outcome you are trying to achieve. You are not left to navigate an automated process alone.

Application support

Help organising forms

We help identify unanswered questions, organise the initial information and work through the administrative parts of a commercial finance enquiry with you.

Personal meetings

Meet face to face

Meet at our St Leonards office to discuss the business, its history and the proposed funding purpose. Video and telephone appointments are also available.

Business understanding

Review the plan and purpose

We review the business plan, proposal or funding objective at a high level so the initial enquiry accurately describes what the funds are intended to support.

Commercial pathways

Consider different finance types

The business need may point towards asset finance, trade finance, invoice finance, a line of credit, working capital, debt refinancing or another commercial facility.

Human follow-through

Support through the journey

We remain available to clarify administrative questions, coordinate requested information and help maintain communication during the provider’s assessment process.

After a refusal

Declined business loan or commercial finance application?

A previous decline does not establish that another provider will approve finance. It does mean the next enquiry should be considered carefully, with a clear funding purpose and accurate information.

We take time to understand the refusal, the present business position and what may need to be clarified before any possible referral.

Information worth considering before another enquiry

  • The reason provided by the bank or previous lender.
  • The amount required and the precise commercial purpose.
  • Trading history, revenue pattern and current cash-flow position.
  • Existing business loans, ATO liabilities and other commitments.
  • Available business records, forecasts, contracts or purchase documents.
  • Any deadline involving a supplier, asset purchase, contract or creditor.

Business finance questions

Frequently asked questions from directors seeking finance

Can you help after my bank declined my business finance application?

Yes. We can discuss the reason given, help organise the initial information and consider whether the commercial purpose may be suitable for referral to a selected provider. A previous refusal does not prevent an enquiry, but it also does not mean another application will be approved.

Can I speak to a real person about business finance?

Yes. You can speak directly with Connect Australia by telephone, email, WhatsApp or video. We believe a proper conversation can reveal the business purpose, background and practical issues that an online form may not capture.

Do you help company directors complete commercial finance forms?

We provide administrative assistance with the initial enquiry and help organise information requested during the referral process. The director remains responsible for ensuring every statement and document is complete, current and accurate.

Can we meet in person to discuss the business?

Yes. Meetings can be arranged at our St Leonards office. A visit to your business premises may also be considered by prior arrangement, depending on location, availability and the agreed scope.

Can you review my business plan before a finance enquiry?

We can review the plan or proposal at a high level to understand the business, the funding purpose and whether the initial enquiry explains the request clearly. This is not financial, investment, legal or tax advice.

What types of business finance can be explored?

Possible pathways include business loans, working capital, asset and equipment finance, invoice finance, lines of credit, trade finance for domestic or overseas goods, commercial debt refinancing and funding enquiries involving eligible business ATO liabilities.

Does Connect Australia guarantee finance approval?

No. Connect Australia is not the lender and cannot approve or guarantee finance. Every enquiry remains subject to the provider’s eligibility requirements, credit assessment, terms, pricing, security requirements and final decision.

Is this service available for personal or consumer finance?

No. This enquiry service is strictly for business and commercial purposes. It is not available for personal, household or domestic borrowing, home loans or residential property investment finance.

Connect Australia provides commercial finance enquiry support, administrative assistance and provider introductions. We are not a lender and do not provide consumer credit, financial product advice, legal advice or tax advice. Any finance remains subject to the independent provider’s assessment and approval. No outcome, rate or timeframe is guaranteed.
