Accessibility

Connect Australia wants this website to be usable by everyone, including people using screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification or reduced-motion settings.

What has been built in

  • A skip link to the main content as the first focusable element on every page.
  • Visible focus outlines on every interactive element.
  • Full keyboard operation of the navigation, including the mobile menu and its submenus.
  • Semantic headings in order, landmark regions and descriptive link text.
  • Form fields with associated labels, clearly marked required fields and errors announced to assistive technology.
  • Text that reflows to a single column on small screens without horizontal scrolling.
  • Reduced-motion support that removes non-essential transitions.
  • Colour contrast checked against WCAG 2.1 AA for body text and interface elements.
